UPDATE: Huzzah! Five of my horses have made it to the finals. I’m gonna ride the Dolittle and Sligh train all the way to victory lane. Five out of six! And I even picked Sanjaya! I am a predicting genius. Kreskin ain’t got nothing on me! Recognize.
The fun part can now begin. We have our Top 24 and it’s up to us not to screw it up like we did the last time (suck it, Taylor Hicks. Think maybe Chris Daughtry might have been a better way to go, America? Sometimes I wish I were Canadian.). I love this part of the show because I can finally just pick my horses and ride them to the finish. So while it may be exceedingly early for Finale predictions, and these six people may not even make it to the Top 12, for my money, these are the (and my) early American Idol favorites. In picture order: Chris Sligh, Amy Krebs, Brandon Rogers, Hayley Scarnato, Sanjaya Malakar, Melinda Dolittle.

I don’t watch the show, but I will judge the competitors (left to right, top to bottom):
1) Wants to be Hurley
2) Slightly less anorexic than the Olsen twins
3) Token black man who looks like Darwyn from Sleeper Cell
4) Stop staring at my chesticles
5) Am I a man or a woman? Who knows!
6) Hey, my nose looks just like the nose of the androgynous one!

But VERY quickly, it’s going to be that first guy who sang, and Nick Pedro. Mark my words.
My favorite among the men is Blake Lewis. (The Brit should have been included in the top 24. Whether he would have won would have been up to the votes. He was a good singer and now we will never know).
My favorie among the women are Lakisha, Melinda, Stephanie and Sabrina.
The winner will be a woman.

2 of your six have gone home so far. I think Melinda will be safe until the finals. The other 3 could go anytime, especially Haley after last night. Everyone in general needs to step it up and turn on the charm. These 1+ shows are boring me to death.
Uh, not sure I agree with your math there, chief. Only Amy has been sent packing so far. Though there’s a better than good chance that Sanjaya and Haley get bounced tonight. We’ll see.
