Hi, I have been on this board before a while back, maybe about a year. However, I would like to leave a few comments for everyone to ponder...considering the man of discussion.

...the movie may not please everyone, however it will be great entertainment watching, guaranteed. Give It A Chance. There will be something to learn from it, and then everyone will be back on the discussion boards right after.

I’m all for loving the man myself, as I know many of you do. Because you know why, it feels a whole lot better than taking the other route of bashing.

Finally, Keanu is more than just a shell for ‘eye candy’ you know,or for ‘googling’ your eyes at, (though there is that appeal that cannot be missed) he does have heart, he has a family, he pays bills like everyone else, he gives to charity (because of his sister).

He is not a machine, nor is he a robot, please have some respect. He is very sensitive and deep (this has been stated in more places that I can count) and he hurts just like everyone else does. He’s living his life. If you are a supporter, be there for him...if not, then don't.

Just here sharing the love for the “KMan”. Until then, Caio!

Thank you for having me post here, Mr. Jay.

Many Blessings to All,
Ally.

Jay, come on, where's your sense of humor ? by choosing to play Klaatu, K. IS helping matters...in his own tongue-in-cheek way... Think about it this way : no matter what , it just can't go wrong :))

on a serious note, now : IF the script is well written, IF the approach is well thought...this remake COULD be quite an interesting one. guess we'll just have to wait and see...

Remakes are always iffy prospects, remakes of classic/cult classics are extremely iffy prospects.

It may have been over 50 years, but TDTESS still lives and breathes, a lot of people have invested in this thing over the decades. It may not like being remade..

Release has been pushed back, which might be a good sign. Script is going to be rewritten (may or may not be a good thing). For my .02 worth, Keanu will do fine in Michael's shoes (similar acting styles - neither of these men were/are bad actors, they just take watching).

However.. Keanu isn't alone in this thing - unless everyone involved is pulling in the same direction - and the studio gets behind it, I don't plan to hold my breath :(
